A windscreen is part of the car's structure, not just a pane to look through. It supports the roof, backs the passenger airbag and keeps wind and rain out. Once it is cracked or smashed, it needs replacing, not patching.
When it needs replacing
- A crack that has spread, or runs to the edge of the glass
- Chips or cracks in the driver's line of sight
- Damage that lets in water or air
- A shattered screen after a break-in or an accident
What happens on the day
We bring the right glass for your make and model to your home or office. The old screen comes out, the frame is cleaned, and the new one is bonded and sealed. Rain sensors, the camera and any heating are refitted and checked. Before we leave, we tell you when it is safe to drive away.
